Slates

This feature allows the user to overlay a full screen image over a running encoding session without need to stop/start the session. When the slate image is shown, the audio is also "muted".

The slate image is also shown when the input of an active encoding session stops receiving an input. The slate image will not be shown when an encoding session has been started without an input present.

Configuration

Session Create

During the session creation after the input has been selected, the user can enable the slates feature.

Encoding Details

The slates feature can also be enabled or disabled on the encoding details page.

Control

Once the slate feature has been enabled, the ability to show or hide the slate image will be present.

The below image is an example of the slate feature enabled, but the slate is hidden.

When the user clicks on Slate Hidden another dialog box will appear.

The dialog box allows the user:

  • to upload a slate image
  • select the slate image
  • toggle button to show or hide the slate image

After the slate image has been configured to be "shown", the encoding details page is update to reflect the change.

Slate Images

Slate images can also be uploaded, viewed, deleted and if they are being used from the Images tab located on the Settings page.
