Templates
Creating and managing encoding templates significantly streamlines the setup process for live encoding and offline encoding, allowing for quick application of predefined settings to new or existing streams.
The Template page consists of two sections, the Overview and the Preview Configuration. The page also allows for the creation of new templates, with the + Create New Template button, more details on how to create a new template
Overview
The Overview is a table that list all the templates that have been configured on the system. There is also a search feature that will allow the user to easily find a template. There is currently no limit to the number of templates that can be created.
Preview Configuration
The user can preview the template configuration by selecting the row of the desired template. The preview configuration section also includes options to edit or delete the template. Only Templates that are currently not in use, are allowed to be deleted.
If the user clicks the template name then they will view the template configuration in preview mode.
Example Templates
Bitstreams supplies two example templates that can be used for testing and evaluation. These templates are Read-Only and cannot be modified.
It is recommended to NOT use these templates in a production environment, and they may be modified or deleted in future releases.
